I welcome you into the third week in the last month of the year 2020. I started a series on the 5 winning strategies to adopt in the year 2021. 5 WINNING STRATEGIES TO ADOPT IN the YEAR 2021 Today I will be discussing with you the third winning strategy, which is execution.
When a plan is not backed up by an appropriate action, such plan is only a “fantasy”
Execution is an act of taking a deliberate effort to carry out your itemized plans. For instance, if one of your plans for the year 2021 is to complete your abandoned building project. What you should begin to do from now is to revisit the project and see the state it was as at the last time you worked on it.
Start calling on the vendors who were working on the project before or if you wish to change some of them, you may source for new workers who would get the work done for you in record time.
If your major reason why you stopped the project was lack of finance, do the estimate of the amount it will cost you to complete the project and start taking a decisive step on how to source funds to complete the project.
EXECUTION AS A PROCESS
A project is a whole task. If a project is to be executed, it is usually broken down into smaller goals that can easily be accomplished in record time.
Process involved in execution are:
Idea generation
Idea assessment
A plan of action
Working on a targeted plan
Complete the task
IDEA GENERATION
What aspect of your life do you wish to improve upon in the coming year?
Are you looking at ways to increase your earning power?
As you continue to engage your thoughts on how to increase your finances, so many different ideas will be dropping into your mind. A lot of times great ideas drop into our minds in a flash, but most times, we don’t capture those ideas because we have not cultivated the habit of writing down every little idea that drops into our mind.
As you go into the year 2021, develop a habit of jotting down every thought that comes to your mind. You will be surprised by how creative you could be.
IDEA ASSESSMENT
Always do a periodic review of some of the ideas you have generated and subject these ideas to some feasibility analysis. This will guide you into a particular business you can go into, or a particular career path to follow, it could even be an idea to modify your existing business.
Please note that you generate ideas based on what you constantly engaging your mind with.
A PLAN OF ACTION
At the end of your assessment, you should be able to come up with a specific goal to achieve. Once you have a goal to achieve, you map out a plan of action to work with.
WORKING ON A TARGETED PLAN
It is not unlikely for you to have more than one specific goal to achieve in the course of the year, If you will achieve success in every task you set out to do, you must learn how to set priority. Setting your priorities right gives you direction and brings out the best of you.
COMPLETE THE TASK
Once you have successfully completed a task, rate the task as been executed. Celebrate your success and repeat the process for a new task.
